Claressa Shields seemingly insinuates that her boyfriend, rapper Papoose, got into an altercation after a comedian refered to Shields as tennis legend Serena Williams.
According to reports, comedian Gerald Huston approached Shields and jokingly referred to her as Serena Williams while she was out with Papoose. The joke reportedly didn’t sit well with the couple. Shields corrected the comedian, stating she was not Serena Williams, but Huston allegedly continued to make remarks despite her objections.
Witnesses claim that the situation escalated when Papoose stepped in to defend Shields. Huston later alleged on social media that Papoose struck him with a book, leaving his nose “cracked.”
Following the incident, Shields addressed the situation, clarifying that she did not know who Huston was at the time and that things would of went differently if he would of asked her to be apart of the skit first.
Neither Papoose nor Huston has issued a formal statement beyond social media posts.
