Quavo and Offset appear to be repairing their relationship following the tragic death of fellow rapper Rich Homie Quan.
The two Migos members, whose bond had been strained for some time, are seemingly coming together in the wake of another loss that has rocked the Hip-Hop community.
The falling out between Quavo and Offset occurred before the death of their Migos collaborator Takeoff, which added to the tension between the two. However, recent developments suggest the two may be reconciling.
On Thursday, September 5, the news of Rich Homie Quan’s unexpected passing spread through the Hip-Hop world, prompting an outpouring of tributes from fans and fellow artists. Quavo was among those who paid his respects, sharing a heartfelt post on social media. He uploaded a photo of Rich Homie Quan alongside Young Thug and Migos, adding a heartbroken emoji above Offset’s image in the picture.
In his caption, Quavo expressed his grief, writing, “May God be with US. Never saw this being part of our journey.”
He also shared Metro Boomin’s tribute, which included images of the Atlanta rap scene, with a message that reminisced about their early days: “The night we made young rich homies… These days were a very special time in history when everybody was hungry and working together towards the same goal.”
Later, Quavo posted an update that confirmed he and Offset had reconnected, writing, “Good convo with my bro,” while sharing a post backed by their song “Nothing Changed.”
This interaction suggests the two rappers are working toward reconciliation after the tension that reportedly escalated into a physical altercation at the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Earlier this year, Offset spoke about their strained relationship, acknowledging that he and Quavo still had love for one another, though they were both deeply affected by Takeoff’s death. “We’re men, we’re real brothers, and we cool with it,” Offset shared in March, urging fans and media not to push them apart. “Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”
Quavo and Offset’s recent dialogue may mark a turning point in the healing of their relationship, united by grief and a desire to move on.
