Apryl Jones is setting the record straight about one of R&B’s most talked-about love triangles.
The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood alum recently reflected on her brief relationship with Lil Fizz, which sparked headlines years ago because of his longtime friendship with her ex, Omarion. In a new interview, the reality star explained that while the romance was short-lived, it carried lessons she still values today.
“People act like it was this huge scandal,” Apryl said. “Omarion understood where I was in life and that I had to make choices for myself. He was mature about it, even if people weren’t.”
Her candid comments revisit a saga that fascinated fans, many of whom viewed the situation as a breach of loyalty between the former B2K bandmates. Apryl, however, insists the story has always been more complex than social media made it seem.

For her, the relationship with Lil Fizz was never about long-term love. My time with Lil Fizz was one of those lessons.”
While the romance sparked intense scrutiny, Apryl emphasized that Omarion handled the situation with grace. “Omarion was respectful. He knew our paths were diverging and that I had to follow my heart. There was no ill will, just acceptance,” she said.
Despite the backlash, Apryl maintains that her connection with Lil Fizz was real, even if it wasn’t built on love. “I never truly loved Lil Fizz, but he was an amazing friend and someone I cared for,” she explained.
Looking back, Apryl acknowledged the toll public criticism took on her well-being. “You learn quickly that people’s opinions are loudest when they don’t have all the facts,” she said.
