Reginae Carter Reveals How Mack Maine Halted Disney Collab

During a recent episode of the Heir Time podcast, Reginae Carter revealed how she lost out on a collaboration with Disney. Carter was joined by Fat Joe’s daughter, Azariah Cartagena. They were discussing how being the children of famous rappers affected their lives and careers. “I had wanted to do something for Disney [and] couldn’t because my uncle said, ‘In about three years, holla at me, Miley Cyrus.’”

The “uncle” the 27-year-old is referring to is, in fact, Young Money president Mack Maine. He is the one behind the vulgar comment on Young Money’s 2009 hit track, “EveryGirl In The World.” “Sanaa Lathan, Meagan Good/Angelina Jolie, ha, D. Woods,” Mack Maine raps on the track. “For free suites, I’d give Paris Hilton all-nighters/In about three years, holla at me, Miley Cyrus.”

In other news, Reginae Carter had a family sit-down with her parents—superstar rapper Lil Wayne and Toya Johnson—on her Heir Time podcast. The trio reflected on their bond, their blended family, and more. It was an open conversation, offering a rare look at how they navigate family life in the public eye.

Reginae didn’t hesitate to speak honestly when asked how she felt growing up while her parents dated other people. She said she generally got along with the women in her dad’s life and even kept her mom informed. As she talked through those memories, she brought up a moment fans still remember, the birthday when she dressed up as Nivea. She reminded her parents that Nivea had always been one of her favorites. Reginae joked that, as a kid, she used to think they were close in age.
