Sexyy Red has made quite a name for herself in the rap game. Now she’s comparing herself to another rapper in the game with several hits under his belt. She has dubbed herself the “Modern Day Boosie.”
In a short tweet she wrote to her one million followers, “Modern day boosie.” It seemed as if her fan base was generally on the fence about her comparison to the Louisiana rapper. However, Boosie himself has no problem with her comparison.
“Man I feel like she giving me my flowers,” he said in a conversation with TMZ. “She showing me love. She on top of the game right now.”
The rapper also confirmed that the two are working on a record together.
Although not all of her fans seemed to be on board, she continuously grows in popularity, with one hit song after another. Her feature on Drake’s Rich Baby Daddy from his latest album, For All The Dogs, landed her first top 10 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. She was also given the opportunity to open up for him at a few stops on the It’s All A Blur tour.
