Shedeur Sanders addressed not being selected in the first round of the draft.

“None of us saw this coming, honestly,” Sanders said in a now-viral video. “But with God, anything is possible—everything is possible.”

“I don’t believe this happened without a purpose. If anything, it’s just more fuel to the fire. We all know this wasn’t how it should’ve gone, but we’re focused on what’s ahead. Bigger and better things are coming. Tomorrow’s a new day, and no matter what, we’ll celebrate.”

Shedeur’s father, Deion Sanders, had confidently predicted his son would be a top-five draft pick. In a resurfaced tweet, Coach Prime fired back at a critic who commented, “Tell yo son stop act like he the coldest out here then put up a 4-8 season.” Deion responded, “He will be a top 5 pick. Where yo son going? Lololol I got time today. Lololol.”

After the first round of the draft concluded last night, Coach Prime—appeared to share his thoughts on Shedeur not being selected. He posted, “My Bible says God uses the foolish things to confound the wise, and He chose the weak things of the world that He may put to shame the strong! Please know God ain’t done—He’s just really getting started.”

“Enjoy this lesson and stop stressing. #CoachPrime” the tweet continued.
