Los Angeles County court filings have pulled New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs into a paternity dispute with model and influencer Aileen Lopera, who alleges he is the father of her infant daughter.
Lopera, who goes by Lord Gisselle on social media, filed a petition in December 2024 to establish parental rights before the child’s birth. According to filings, Diggs submitted a response in July expressing uncertainty about his biological relationship to the child, who was born in April.
Diggs requested genetic testing to confirm paternity, and a stipulation signed by a judge on July 17 ordered both parties to comply. The filings do not indicate whether testing has been completed or if results have been returned.
Lopera’s attorney, Tamar Arminak, issued a statement to The U.S. Sun this week, asserting her client “looks forward to the day Mr. Diggs acknowledges and provides for his infant daughter in Los Angeles.” Diggs’ attorney, Tullo Mumtaz, declined to comment.
Stefon Diggs Paternity Suit
The dispute emerges as Diggs’ personal and professional lives converge in the spotlight. The three-time Pro Bowler, who joined the Patriots in a high-profile offseason trade, is also expecting his first child with rapper Cardi B. The rapper announced her pregnancy on social media earlier this week, and Diggs later shared he hopes for a son.
Diggs currently has one daughter, Nova, who is eight. If testing confirms paternity in Lopera’s case, this would be his third child.
The paternity proceedings carry potential financial and legal implications for the 30-year-old receiver, whose new role in New England comes with heightened expectations on the field. The Patriots acquired Diggs to bolster their offense, and the case places his private affairs under greater scrutiny at a pivotal moment in his career.
For Lopera, the petition represents a step toward legal recognition and support. For Diggs, the outcome of the genetic testing will determine whether the dispute escalates into a broader custody and child support matter.
Until results are disclosed, both parties remain bound by the court order as the legal process moves forward.
