Suge Knight is back stirring the pot, dropping another bomb on Dr. Dre’s name.
The Death Row co-founder claims once again that Dre cut checks to get him clapped—twenty stacks, to be exact. This isn’t the first time Suge’s pointed fingers, but now he’s doing it from behind bars, with even more heat in his voice.
While chopping it up with Piers Morgan, Suge doubled down on the Dre allegations during a segment where he questioned California’s three-strikes law. Locked up on a manslaughter bid, he said the system hit him with bogus strikes.
Then he brought Dre into it again, saying he’s got proof Dre tried to take him out. Suge said receipts exist—actual checks with Dre’s name, and admitted hitters who said they got paid.
According to Suge, these cats were strapped and ready. Twenty grand here, a lil’ something there, all allegedly from Dre’s pockets.
Dre, for his part, has denied all that noise for years. His reps made it clear back in 2016 that he’s had zero contact with Suge since he dipped out of Death Row in ’96. That stance hasn’t changed. Dre’s team laughed off Suge’s earlier accusations as wild and baseless.
Later in the interview, Suge Knight pivoted to Diddy’s ongoing legal mess—sex trafficking and racketeering charges that are still playing out. Even though Suge and Diddy don’t vibe, he surprised folks by saying Puffy should beat the case. No love lost, but Suge thinks the courts got it twisted.
Back in 2017, this same murder-for-hire story surfaced. Suge’s legal squad mentioned a check tied to the night he ran over Terry Carter. Dre’s legal team shut it down then too, calling it “absurd.”
Whether Suge’s speaking facts or just spinning tales, his name still rings loud in hip-hop’s most infamous chapters.
