Old tweets from T-Pain have resurfaced, stirring up long-standing tension with Drake and fueling a fresh wave of drama between the two artists. In one post from 2022, T-Pain appeared to vent about a missed feature and Drake’s influence in the industry: “It’s all good. Soft dark n**s wasn’t the wave at that time but Drake made it ok to situp I guess and now ppl are understanding what I was saying all those years ago. It just took a light skinned n*a to get y’all to listen and I applaud him for winning the beige baby lottery.”

The tweet is now being revisited as fans dissect the fallout between the two. Some see T-Pain’s posts as the reaction of an artist who felt overlooked. Others argue the tone reads more bitter than justified. “So t-pain was a big fan of drake then got dubbed for a feature… I can get why he hates drake but… I would never let anyone know I’m that pressed,” one user wrote. Another fired back: “He don’t owe that n***a nothing. Sounds like entitlement turned resentment and bitterness.”

The controversy gained new momentum after T-Pain dissed Drake during an appearance on the Crash Dummies podcast. While discussing the idea of knowing when to step away from the spotlight, he pointed out that Drake hadn’t followed his own advice. “Drake said, ‘I wanna be one of them people that gracefully bow out and not get kicked out,’” T-Pain said, mimicking the rapper’s persistence: “‘OK, I got another one… Y’all ain’t like that? One more.’”

Drake responded to the clip via Instagram, writing, “This guy always had resentment for me 😂 You can hear it every time he speaks on my name.” The tension, it seems, has finally boiled over.
