It would appear T-Pain fans have had a change of heart on a previously previewed song, “Club Husband,” that has now become a viral hit on TikTok over the summer.

“Club Husband” — a catchy track about a woman forming a simulated union in holy matrimony inside a nightclub — has received a surge in popularity on social media, primarily among millennials who have created content around the snippet.

“Tonight we gon get lit / Me and you going in / So tell that piece of shit of an excuse you call a boyfriend / That he ain’t gotta worry about you coming back home / ‘Cause you done found what you been looking for along…,” T-Pain sings in the snippet.

Most of the content includes a demand for T-Pain to release the track to the public. “T-Pain needs to release ‘Club Husband’ ASAP,” tweeted James Murphy on X. Other tweets shared the same sentiments.

“I hope Tpain releases Club Husband. It’s such a banger,” tweeted X user @chrissyx_o_x.

Pain would address the snippet’s popularity, revealing that he received negative reviews when he originally previewed the song three years ago. “I love the goddamn song and then when I tried to release it, three years ago, everybody was saying it was ass,” Pain tells a friend in a clip. “It’s just weird as fuck that it changes depending on how you hear it first…”

The Auto-Tune innovator explained that nothing has changed in the song from three years ago. The viral trend on social media makes the difference.

He continued: “The song is still the same. I didn’t change anything about the song. Some random n***a put the shit out, now all of a sudden, ‘this is amazing.’ It’s just all about how you heard it first that makes you like it or not. It’s fucking weird.
It’s stupid as shit. For some shit, I recorded three fucking years ago that I say it was fucking ass and it was trash, but now that somebody clipped it, and it looked like a viral moment, you just want to be a part of a viral moment.

He concluded his comments on the track, confused by social media validation over his music. “Now it’s good,” he began. “The song is great. Now the song is fantastic, but when I made it three years ago on stream, niggas are like, nah, this ain’t that it. just sounded like 2007. We ain’t fucking into this shit.
But now it feels like you discovered it on your own, and now it’s forbidden. Now, oh man, this is a leak. We’re not supposed to be hearing it now I like it.
This shit’s fucking weird, bro. It’s really goddamn weird. It’s stupid as shit.”

The demand for the unreleased track follows a hugely successful 2025 for T-Pain. The success includes new collaborations, a nationwide tour, and ventures into other businesses. In July, Pain and Nappy Boy Dranks announced the national rollout of his Good Game by T-Pain energy shot ahead of unveiling his 20th anniversary celebration, the TP20 Tour.

Good Game by T-Pain is for the fans. “I wanted something that hits, works, and actually tastes good,” he said about the energy shot’s purpose in its rollout. “Good Game gives you clean energy, real focus, no crash, and it tastes like candy with no sugar. The look grabs you, the formula does its job, and I’m turning my fan base into real foot traffic for stores that want something fresh and authentic.”

The Good Game By T-Pain announcement was followed by Pain’s being honored with the President’s Award at this year’s BMI Awards. It marked his 28th award with BMI.

It remains unknown if T-Pain will release “Club Husband.” The song’s exposure continues to spread across social media as of the time of this press release.

The TP20 Tour rolls on.
