It sounds like an episode of Law & Order SVU, but this is real life!
As reported on NYDN, a group of teens held three staff members against their will. The incident happened at a Bronx juvenile detention center this week.
Three teens threatened three employees, ages ranging from 24-37, men and women. The teens got their hand on glass shards from a broken window, used it as weapons, and refused to let the staffers go.
Luckily, no one was hurt, and police arrived at the scene. The outlet points out the incident resulted in eight teens getting arrested — a 16-year-old, five 17-year-olds, and two 18-year-olds. They face multiple charges, including riot, menacing, assault, illegal weapons possession, and unlawful imprisonment.
