Teyana Taylor has a perfectly good reason as to why she was up close and personal with Leonardo DiCaprio.
We previously reported that DiCaprio was spotted with his hand wrapped around Taylor’s waist at an Oscars Pre-Party. According to TMZ, the two chatted amongst themselves as the party went on. The two are currently filming a Paul Thomas Anderson film together- so that may explain the connection.
Following the viral video, during a recent interview on E!’s The Rundown, Teyana explains, “Leo wore extensions for the movie and they were hurting him. I was literally helping him with his bun.”
“And if you’ve seen the end of the video, I said something about cornbread because my chef was cooking for the whole cast. We gotta make sure his bun is right. We gotta make sure he’s eating good.”
Teyana confirms she and Leo’s relationship is strictly platonic.
Teyana’s mother and manager, Nikki Taylor, also confirmed the two have a sister-brother relationship. She explains, “because the WME party where they were was super loud .. this is why they were so close. They were downstairs on the lower level where it was set up like a disco with a dance floor and loud music.”
According to reports, Nikki added, “Leo & Teyana are just two costars who ran into each other in the party & were talking. The convo was about food because Teyana brought her own chef to set every day and everyone including Leo had began only eating from Teyanas chef.”
We previously reported that Iman Shumpert and Teyana Taylor decided to call it quits after their 10-year relationship. “We’ve been able to successfully and peacefully separate without all of the outside noise.” she wrote via Twitter.
