Tiffany Haddish has landed a role of a lifetime. The actress will be portraying the late Florence ‘Flo-Jo’ Joyner in an upcoming biopic.
The film, which is being produced by Haddish’s She Ready Productions, will take a look into Flo-Jo’s life and career. Florence Joyner made the sport of track and field popular not only with her record-breaking Olympic runs but also with her sense of fashion.
She was known for sporting one-legged tracksuits and wearing long colorful nails. During the 1988 Olympics, she would go on to set records that have yet to be broken and she is still considered to be the fastest woman in the world.
In 1998, Florence Joyner died after suffering an epileptic seizure at the age of 38. Tiffany Haddish shared her thoughts on her new role on her Twitter account.
“My heart is so full right now! I can’t even explain how hard I am going to work to honor her legacy.”
