Tina Knowles says her daughter, Beyoncé, checks her for her social media postings.
During a recent interview on the Sibling Revelry podcast, Knowles was asked how surreal it is to have to highly successful daughters. “I just think about how blessed we are to be passionate about something and for it to come to life… I don’t take it for granted, ever.”
Aside from her daughters, Beyonce and Solange, Mama Knowles also gets a front row seat to watch her her granddaughters Rumi and Blue Ivy, perform on stage alongside their mom.“I’m always right up front at the concerts, screaming and recording,” Tina said.
“I’ll post like 25 videos, and then I’ll get a call from Beyoncé like, ‘Mama, can you not post so much? Like, come on now. When are you ever going to stop? You’re doing too much.’”
“I never want to be jaded about it” she said. “It’s still really exciting.”
During a previous interview with Glamour magazine, Knowles revealed even at a young age, Beyonce’s performance ability was shocking. She describes her as very “shy” as a child “Beyoncé was seven and her dance teacher put her in a talent show with bigger kids,” she began. ” I was like ‘that’s not fair because she’s only seven.’” Knowles said. “And she went in — she was [very] shy— and I mean she got on that stage and commanded the stage.”
Knowles says she and her then-husband, Matthew Knowles were in utter shock. “Me and my husband were like, ‘Who is that?’ The confidence came and a joy…I could see it,” she said. She jokes, “…And so she felt so confident she said, ‘I wanna get my trophy, I’m hungry, and I want to go home,’ and I’m like, ‘You don’t even know if you won, like sit down and chill.’ “But it was something that happened on that stage, that I had never seen before…”
