Usher, you just performed the best Super Bowl halftime show ever, what will you do next? Get married.

Multiple sources confirmed on Monday (Feb.12) that renowned entertainer Usher Raymond IV married longtime girlfriend and music executive Jennifer Goicoechea in a private Las Vegas wedding ceremony after performing the NFL Super Bowl Halftime show on Sunday evening (Feb. 11) after obtaining a marriage license last Thursday, Feb. 8, in Clark County, Nevada.

In the days leading up to Usher’s highly-anticipated performance featuring Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, and Lil Jon, there was much speculation about their marriage. The two share two of Usher’s four children, daughter Sovereign Bo and son Sire Castrello. Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, was the couple’s witness in the marriage.

Usher and wife began their relationship in 2018. When asked about their romance, he said, “I started this journey, I found and met an amazing partner who happened to be my best friend and was there all the time, and I was like, wow, this could be great.”

Earlier this week, Usher spoke with People about his love for Goicoechea, he said:

“Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are.”

He continued: “We’ve obviously made a commitment to life for life together because of our children,” Usher continued. “It wouldn’t be odd for us to get married. We already did here. You know what I’m saying?”

Making Usher’s third marriage, he also told People that the couple’s love is eternal.

“And we’re going to be in each other’s lives until we die, obviously, because we have something to share. That’s beautiful. Our children. But not because of that. I really do feel like I have an amazing partner that I respect.”

Usher, Jennifer Goicoechea, their reps, and his mother have not commented on the marriage at press time.
