Usher Unveils Content Studio At Boys & Girls Club In Atlanta

Usher loves the kids.

The global superstar was on hand at the Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club in Atlanta, to unveil a new Content Studio and Entertainment Industry Club. The studio reflects his “commitment to empowering young people through meaningful opportunities and workforce development,”

In partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the After School Alliance, Usher recently concluded his impactful 100-day Social Impact Tour. Since August, the tour has reached more than  4,800 youth. He performed shows in Washington, D.C.; Detroit, MI; Philadelphia, PA; Oakland, CA, Houston, TX, Brooklyn, NY and more.  

In a statement, Usher spoke about how important the  Boys & Girls Clubs of America is to his success.

“Returning to the Boys & Girls Clubs, where I discovered my passion, and launching this program in Atlanta is a full-circle moment for me,” Usher said. 

He also shared how the studio would be a launching pad for emerging creatives.

“The Spark Lab and Entertainment Industry Club is about providing our youth with the tools, confidence, and opportunities they need to turn their dreams into reality. It’s an honor to help inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators through After School programs,” he continued.

David Jernigan, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, shared his about the unveiling and working with Usher.

“[We’re] thrilled to announce this year’s much-anticipated launch of the Usher Raymond IV Spark Lab. Usher’s Spark Lab will not only be a resource to our Club members, but also a space where they can gain hands-on experiences in fields like music production, filmmaking, photography, and more.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Usher’s New Look non-profit.  It is the vision of the organization to transform “the lives of under-resourced youth through comprehensive, passion-driven leadership programs.

The content studio will officially open in 2025.
