Jeezy is bringing one of hip-hop’s most celebrated albums to the Las Vegas Strip. The Atlanta rapper announced a limited residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino this fall, extending the 20th anniversary celebration of his debut studio album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101.
The residency, which follows a national anniversary tour earlier this year, will run across four dates: Oct. 31, Nov. 1, Dec. 19 and Dec. 21. Each performance will spotlight TM101 in full, with enhanced production and staging designed for the Las Vegas setting. Fans can also expect potential guest appearances from Jeezy’s longtime collaborators.
Released in 2005, TM101 helped redefine Southern rap, pairing stark street narratives with anthems of determination and ambition. For Jeezy, the album remains a cultural statement two decades later, with themes of resilience and perseverance continuing to resonate with audiences. The residency, he says, is both a celebration of that legacy and a chance to introduce the album’s impact to a younger generation of listeners.
Las Vegas residencies have historically been dominated by pop, rock and R&B icons, but hip-hop has increasingly established a presence on the Strip in recent years. Jeezy’s run at Planet Hollywood underscores the genre’s growing foothold in one of entertainment’s most prestigious spaces.
Though full details of the setlist and staging remain under wraps, Jeezy is expected to perform TM101 in its entirety while weaving in later hits such as “Put On,” “Lose My Mind” and “I Luv It.” The Vegas format may also allow for expanded arrangements, live instrumentation and more ambitious visuals.
Nearly 20 years after its release, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 still stands as a defining hip-hop album. With his Las Vegas residency, Jeezy cements both the project’s legacy and his own place in the genre’s history.
