Yungeen Ace has once again stirred controversy with a new track that appears to take shots at his late rival Foolio. On August 25th, Yungeen Ace posted a snippet of his latest song on Triller, featuring lyrics that seem to target Foolio, who was tragically killed in June. The track, a remix of Cash Cobain’s “Not My Problem” by Laila!, includes lines that some interpret as taunts about Foolio’s death. “They mad at me that ni**a died, that’s not my [problem], I’m getting rich off the dead like that’s my [problem],” Yungeen Ace raps. “Can’t trust nobody but my choppa that’s my [problem]. Lil’ ni**a died, got caught in traffic that’s my [problem].”
In the same snippet, Yungeen Ace appears to direct his lyrics towards Foolio’s family. He raps, “When this b*ch got hit with the stick that wasn’t my [problem],” and “When his mom got hit with that sht that wasn’t my [problem].” This adds to a series of tracks where Yungeen Ace seems to diss Foolio posthumously. Previous songs like “Do It” and “Game Over” were also seen as targeting Foolio, heightening tensions surrounding their feud.
The longstanding rivalry between Yungeen Ace and Foolio began in Jacksonville, Florida. It is deeply rooted in their respective crews, ATK and KTA. The feud intensified in 2017 after the murder of Foolio’s cousin, Zion Brown. Deantrae Thomas, a known associate of Yungeen Ace, was charged with the crime. This incident led to a retaliatory drive-by shooting in June 2018. The shooting resulted in the deaths of three men, including Yungeen’s brother, Tre’von Bullard. Yungeen Ace survived despite being shot multiple times. Foolio’s social media posts celebrating the deaths further fueled the conflict. This led to a series of diss tracks exchanged between the two.
Despite the hostility, Yungeen Ace claimed on Instagram Live in July 2024 that he and his rival, Foolio had actually reconciled before Foolio’s death.
