Nordstrom announced that they will be dropping Ivanka Trump items from their stores for the upcoming season. The company says that they feel the brans is controversial, especially considering the shoppers who buy her items boycotted the brand due to their anger and frustration with her father, Donald Trump.
Reports say that the luxury retail department store has received several calls from livid customers who have demanded that her products be removed from the store. Since the performance for the brand has decreased, the company feels it’s time to make a change.
“We’ve said all along we make buying decisions based on performance,” a Nordstrom spokeswoman told Fortune in an emailed statement. “In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season.”
