The 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards are next month, and Cardi B and DJ Khaled are set up to become big winners at the show!
Coming off a big hit in “Bodak Yellow,” the Bronx native leads the nominations with nine. She ties DJ Khaled who has nine nominations himself after a big summer where “Wild Thoughts” was heard just about everywhere.
One of her nine nominations is the best new hip hop artist category which also includes Playboi Carti, Anime, Kodak Black, Tee Grizzley.
Behind those two are JAY-Z and Chance the Rapper who both have five nominations including a fight for lyricist of the year, MVP of the year and hustler of the year. Hova’s latest album 4:44 is also set up for album of the year fighting against Future and Migos as well.
The BET Hip Hop Awards will be filmed at The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on October 6 and airing on BET October 10 at 8 PM EST.
