Catholic High School Teacher Facing Multiple Charges After Sexual Relationship With Student

A New Jersey high school teacher has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly having sex with one of her students and trying to delete evidence.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Newark brought forth the allegations to the police. According to reports, the 25-year-old graphic design teacher at Roselle Catholic High School, Theresa Hrindo, was sexually involved with a student for about three months. During the time of her relationship Hrindo erased “incriminating images” and text messages between her and the student from her and the students phone in attempt to protect herself. However, the allegations were brought to the light, Hrindo was suspended and arrested on Thursday.

The school sent out s letter statement to parents saying:

“We take most seriously our responsibility to provide a safe environment at Roselle Catholic for the young men and women you place in our care, and we believe that the actions we have taken are measured and appropriate at this time.”

The teacher has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of hindering apprehension as well as being banned from teaching.
