Pretty much every sports publication covered Colin Kaepernick kneeling during the national anthem as he was protesting against racism, oppression and police brutality against the African-American community. Athletes all over have spoken out about social issues, but Kaepernick kept his word and put his money where his mouth is.
In addition to the money that he gave away on his Million Dollar Pledge, Kaepernick also spent the first day of the NFL offseason going to shelters and orphanages to give back and donate a variety of materials. He donated books, bedding, clothing and so much more.
