It hasn’t even been 100 days yet!

Press secretary Sean Spicer began his tenure with a bang after emphatically trying to convince the country that President Donald Trump had the biggest inauguration ever. Some how some way it hasn’t gotten much better since.

Yesterday (Apr 12), during Passover nonetheless, Spicey decided to offend everyone by comparing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s sarin gas attack on his own people to Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust of all things. Oh yea. It’s Passover too.

During his press conference yesterday, he said the following:

“You had someone as despicable as Hitler, who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.”

When he realized what he said, he tried to fix it.

“I think when you come to sarin gas, [Hitler] was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing,” Spicer said. “He brought them into, um, the Holocaust center. I understand that. But I’m saying in the way Assad used them where he went into towns, dropped them down into the middle of towns, it was brought…the use of it…and I appreciate the clarification, that was not the intent.”

Then tried again.

And again…

Aaaaaaand again.

The reaction in the press room was classic to say the least.
