Days before the release of his tenth studio album Grateful, DJ Khaled came up to Hot 97 to have a honest conversation with Ebro in the Morning.

He gives details on his brand new album, which includes 23 tracks. He also explains that 23 is his magic number this year with the project coming out June 23, his son being born October 23, and his exclusive Jordan kicks which also symbolize 23 (Jordan’s number).

Khaled also gives some details behind his latest single “Wild Thoughts” and how he got to flip the famous Carlos Santana sample and get Rihanna on the track.

One of the best stories of the day was his story on how he actually got Jay Z and Beyoncé to record “Shining” for him. The single, released right after the Grammys was officially finished only hours before Jay Z told him to release it.

Before leaving he got serious about the last time he came up to Ebro in the Morning and where he was in his career and personal life. He also discussed his rumored beef with Birdman, and where it stemmed from and how it is today.
