Though some are speculating that Jennifer Lopez and Drake’s romance is merely a publicity stunt for their upcoming collab, a source close to J. Lo says it’s the real deal, and they’re giving some insight on the brewing relationship!
According to US Weekly, a friend of Jen told them that the pair “have gotten very close fast,” and that she “gets really excited to see him.” They also note how good it is for her to be dating the hottest rapper in the game.
As for that Winter Wonderland party we saw them kissing at over the weekend, it turns out to not be a music video as previously rumored, but yet a prom-style party that Drake created just for his new boo after learning she’d never had one at her all-girls Catholic high school!
“He wanted her to have that experience,” the source said. US Weekly also spoke with a Drake source, who said:
“It was his fantasy too. She was his childhood crush!”
(I often wonder who these “sources” are…) The pair have also been spending nights at Jen’s house in LA, where they “listen to music and talk a lot.”
“They’re both single, attractive and have a lot in common, so it’s natural. They really like each other.”
