Things are getting very interesting in the case of Meek Mill.

The Philadelphia rapper was sent back to prison and sentenced to two-to-four years for violating his probation through two separate incidents the past year.

Despite the recommendation by the prosecutor that he not receive jail time Judge Genece Brinkley decided to put him back behind bars anyways. His lawyer Joe Tacopina claimed on Ebro in the Morning that she asked Meek Mill to change his management to one of her friends as well as ask for a shout out on a song. Tacopina also claims that she would show up to his community service to watch him – something that is not typically normal.

According to Page Six, the FBI is now launching an investigation to look into the case.

“The feds have an interest in the judge and [her] potential relationships. This is an investigation looking into a possible extortionate demand. Undercover agents have been in the courtroom monitoring the Meek proceedings since April 2016.”

The FBI Philly field office reportedly did not confirm or deny the report.

Hundreds of people flooded the Philadelphia streets in protest of Meek Mill’s current incarceration yesterday (Nov 14) which helped spark this decision.
