On Tuesday (June 22), the world lost a hip hop legend in Prodigy from Mobb Deep due to complications from Sickle Cell.

While much of the music community and friends paid tribute over the last couple of days, we had yet to hear anything from his groupmate Havoc.

He finally spoke out and remembered Havoc in a video in which he spoke about his troubles with sickle cell over the years, and that day specifically.

Havoc revealed that he originally heard a “rumor” from somebody that Prodigy was dead while he attended his 5-year-old’s son from kindergarten before calling his road manager and hearing him cry.

“I’m still f***ed up,” he said before later continuing with “I still can’t believe it.”
