Get that money!

Every year, we wait to see who tops the list of richest hip hop artists. The list hasn’t moved very much the last couple of years, but things are starting to change just a bit as each artist continues to build their business portfolio.

Continuing his dominance, Diddy tops the list my earning $130 million in the past year. Part of this comes from selling a piece of Sean Jean, and the popular Bad Boy Records Reunion Tour which helped generate enough money to take the top spot once again.

Surprisingly Drake follows Diddy due to his Boy Meets World Tour, his brand new music, partnerships with Apple and Sprint as well as Nike which all earned him $94 million.

JAY-Z ends the top 3 after earning $42 million on pure business investments. He’s followed by Dr. Dre ($34.5 million), and Chance the Rapper ($33 million) who rounds out the top 5.

Other artists such as Kendrick Lamar ($30 million), DJ Khaled ($24 million), and J. Cole ($19 million) also star on the list of the top earners of 2017.
