“Friend or foe yo, state your biz. Ya tend to dough, ahh, there it is. Me, I run the show, oh, and these kids. Don’t like nobody commin around here f***in with they doe for s***.”

Jay Z is building himself a little machine over at Roc Nation. Just one month ago it was announced that Hova himself signed Fat Joe to a management deal on the label. This was after years of beef following an incident between himself and Big Pun where as the urban legend goes somebody got hit with a bottle and a big fight ensued.

That was 1999. And everyone’s grown now. So we shouldn’t be surprised at his next signing right. RIGHT?

Dipset and Jay Z have had their problems ever since 2002 when Dame Dash tried to make Cam’ron Vice President at Roc-A-Fella. Remember, back then Jim Jones was Cam’ron’s right hand man. The beef stretched out for years with numerous back in forths.

Cam addressed the beef in 2011:

“That’s been going on with me and him forever. My first album ever, he comes in to see the Sony studio, he comes in like, ‘Yo, lemme talk to you for a minute?’” Cam said. “‘I wanted to tell you, I didn’t know you was that nice. I said, ‘I appreciate it, maybe we can do something for my album.’ He said, ‘I’m not here to lobby for a spot on your album.’”

These days Jim Jones and Cam’ron aren’t cool anymore. They don’t even talk. So maybe as a bit of a slap in the face, he decided to go to Jay Z and drop the years of differences and sign to him.

No details on the deal just yet, but in hip hop this is one of the craziest signings we can remember.
