Kobe Bryant was not too outspoken about political issues throughout his career.

Life after basketball, and the growing conversation of injustice in America might have him becoming more vocal in some of the biggest social subjects in this country.

He was a guest on The Hollywood Reporter’s Chatter podcast where he was asked what he’d do during the National Anthem if he had a game today.

“Kneel,” he said.

Following the protests going around the NFL earlier this year, the NBA sent a memorandum against kneeling for the flag.

When asked what he’d say to Donald Trump if he was to see him face to face he kept it nice and simple.

“Focus on serving, not leading.”
