Lifetime has surely caused some controversy with some of their biopics in recent years.
They’ve produced the stories of Aaliyah, Whitney Houston and more to different levels of scrutiny online. So, why not try their hand on one of the most beloved, yet controversial artists of all time in Michael Jackson? MJ’s fans are very sensitive to his legacy so this could either go very well, or not too well at all.
Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland will take a look at the pop star’s last three three years of his life through the eyes of his bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard.
It is also based off their 2014 book Remember the Time: Protecting Michael Jackson in His Final Days. Navi, who once worked as a double for the “King Of Pop” and impersonator will be playing him in the film.
