The People’s Champion could become The People’s…President?
Last week, Dwayne Johnson also known as The Rock announced that he would consider a run into politics. Last night, on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon he doubled down on the thought process.
There was an issue that the reporter brings up, and this is the possibility of you running for president,” Fallon said. “People took that story and ran with that story. Why are people making such a connection or such a big deal about this?”
Following the Vanity Fair article he doubled down on his theory.
“Caity Weaver is a really brilliant writer. The story has blown up because it was so wonderfully written, very very witty. She was amazing. But in it, as we were talking, she said, ‘Would you ever consider running for president?’ And I said, ‘Yeah of course, I would consider it.’”
He might have some competition, as former Vice President Joe Biden is not ruling out an opportunity to run for President as he said during an appearance in Las Vegas.
“I may very well do it,” he said before later continuing. “At this point, no one in my family or I have made the judgment to run.”
