One of hip hop’s biggest mysteries may have just been solved.

2Pac Shakur was shot on September 7, 1996 following a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas where he eventually died of the injures.

21 years after the murder, former Death Row CEO Suge Knight who was driving the car that was shot up that very night as come forth with the name of the person that allegedly did it.

He says that his ex-wife Sharitha and former Death Row Records security chief Reggie White were the people who eventually killed him.

According to Daily Mail, the words comes from his criminal defense lawyer Thaddeus Culpepper, who put these words in an affidavit.

“Knight has known for many years that Reggie Wright Jr. and his ex-wife Sharitha were behind the murder of Tupac and attempted murder of Knight.”

Why did he come out with the information now?

A brand new documentary titled Tupac Assassination: Battle for Compton based on the book Tupac: 187 The Red Knight seemed to have much of the information correct, and he decided to finally come clean with the details.

So the big question is why?

Because if he died his now ex-wife would have gotten the money behind Death Row. So the bullets were intended for Suge Knight all along.

This is something former Police Detective Russell Poole also told Vice as recent as in 2015. In 2016, LAPD investigator Greg Kaeding released a documentary called Murder Rap: Inside The Biggie & Tupac Murders where his theory hinted at Diddy being behind both murders.

Knight is currently awaiting trial for murder after allegedly running over Cle “Bone” Sloan, killing him on the set of Straight Outta Compton.
