Fans lined down the block in front of SOB’s early Tuesday evening (May 28) for a chance to get a glimpse of Megan Thee Stallion days before she was set to perform on the Summer Jam stage for the first time.
Tuesday was also the day one out of seven finalists from the Hot 97 Who’s Next Destination Summer Jam contest was going to have their dreams come true, and perform on the Summer Jam festival stage.
As people filled the bar to get a taste of Martell’s special cocktail of the night, Thee Swift Stallion, DJ juanyto warmed up the capacity crowd with some of the hottest music today.
One by one, each of the artists stepped to the stage to give their final performance before our panel of judges which consisted of Megan Thee Stallion, DJ Enuff, TT Torrez, Drewski, and Who’s Next top curator Daren Reeves who voted 3,795 tracks on our Who’s Next messenger to give him this special opportunity. Each judge watched, and gave their honest critique of each artist after performing the track as fans gave their own two cents from home as they watched on the official livestream.

Before coming to a final conclusion, Megan Thee Stallion hit the station to perform three of her hits including her smash single “Big Ole Freak” as her fans danced with her, and rapped along with every word.
