French Montana returns to HOT 97 Summer Jam.
As you know, French Montana is no stranger to the legendary stage. Montana’s lyrics, “Shorty got potential I could be her sponsor. Met her back stage at a summer jam concert..” lives rent free in our minds during this time of year.
The Bronx artist performed some of his top hits last year at Summer Jam 2023, including tracks like “Shot Caller”, “Stay Schemin”, and “Unforgettable.”
He also brought out Capella Grey to perform his hit “Gyalis” and Remy Ma to do her verse on Fat Joe’s 2017 smash hit “All The Way Up.”
Ahead of Summer Jam, Montana also entered the filmmaking world.
He released a documentary For Khadija, sharing his experience being raised by his single mother. “Going through everything that I went through in my career, it felt like it finally made sense,” Montana says of the documentary.
“It’s a story from the beginning to the end of a chapter. It’s a chapter where my mother, sacrificed for us and then went back after 25 years. I feel like that was the closure of us coming, me struggling in the Bronx, not knowing English, being culture shocked by the whole move that we made.”
He continued, “One thing about the wounds, that’s where the light enters. It’s showing people that if you only work on sunny days, you’ll never reach your destination.”
