Trippie Redd and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) appear to have moved past their public falling-out, hinting at a new musical collaboration that’s quickly igniting fan speculation. The rift began earlier this year when Ye claimed during a livestream that he “invented rage,” a comment that drew pushback from peers, including Trippie, who has long been credited with helping shape the genre’s rise. Despite the tension, recent activity online suggests the two artists have patched things up—at least enough to work together again.

The speculation gained traction when a Trippie fan account posted a short clip from what’s believed to be his next album, NDA. Ye later shared that snippet to his Instagram Story, a move that caught fans off guard. Trippie responded with a teasing caption: “Wonder who’s on the album?” While the full tracklist remains under wraps, the post was widely interpreted as confirmation of Ye’s involvement.

Ye and Trippie’s truce splits fans

Reactions across social media have been mixed. Some fans welcomed the apparent reunion, viewing it as a return to form for both artists. Others, however, expressed hesitation, still wary of the friction that surfaced earlier in the year between the two.

Their conflict originated in April, when Ye declared during a livestream, “I invented rage, bro,” citing tracks like Yeezus and “N****s in Paris” as groundbreaking. He went on to say, “The inventors of the rage sound is me, X[XXTentacion], [Playboi] Carti, and [Lil] Uzi [Vert]. We paved the way.” His remarks drew criticism for overlooking other key contributors to the genre’s evolution, including Trippie, who had openly taken issue with the claim.

Now, despite the earlier exchange, the pair seem to be on more amicable terms. While the release date for NDA is still unknown, a Trippie Redd and Ye track appears to be in the works—one that could mark a new chapter for both artists and their place in the rage music narrative.
