Rapper Quavo is facing renewed collection efforts in Georgia after a former Las Vegas valet moved to enforce a Nevada judgment exceeding $1.1 million stemming from an assault and battery lawsuit. TMZ broke the news over the weekend.

According to recently filed court documents, valet Antonio Henry has registered the Nevada judgment in Georgia, where the Atlanta-based artist resides, in an effort to collect on a jury award entered following a civil trial.

The dispute arose from a 2018 incident at the Encore Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Henry alleged that Quavo struck him while he was attempting to intervene in a confrontation at the resort. In a lawsuit filed in 2020, Henry claimed the encounter caused both physical injuries and emotional distress.

Quavo denied the allegations throughout the litigation and maintained that he had committed no wrongdoing.

The case proceeded to trial, where a Nevada jury ultimately found in Henry’s favor. Court records indicate the award included more than $650,000 in compensatory and punitive damages. With attorney fees, costs, and accrued interest added, the total judgment now exceeds $1.1 million.

The latest filing does not revisit the merits of the underlying assault claims. Instead, it focuses on post-judgment enforcement, a legal process that allows prevailing parties to seek collection in jurisdictions where a defendant may hold assets or conduct business.

By domesticating the Nevada judgment in Georgia, Henry is positioning himself to pursue collection remedies available under Georgia law. Such remedies can include discovery into assets and other enforcement mechanisms designed to satisfy unpaid judgments.

The filing marks the latest chapter in a legal battle that has stretched across several years. While Henry secured a favorable verdict in Nevada, obtaining a judgment and collecting on it are often separate legal challenges.

For Quavo, whose legal disputes have occasionally drawn public attention outside his music career, the Georgia enforcement action could intensify efforts to recover the seven-figure award entered against him.
