One of Pop Smoke’s accused killers, Corey Walker, was ordered to remain in jail until his trial date.

It has been reported that on Friday, Walker’s bail was denied by a Los Angeles County judge after it was requested by his lawyer, Christopher Darden. Prosecutors filed a motion against Walker, stating that he should not be eligible for bail according to the laws in California.

Although the judge agreed with the prosecution, he has also declared that the case is no longer a capital case, which allows the defendant to avoid the death penalty. If found guilty, Corey Walker can be sentenced to life without parole.

Pop Smoke was shot and killed on February 19th, 2020 during a botched robbery in his rented Hollywood Hills. Walker, along with Keandre Rodgers and two other teenagers were charged with the murder of the rapper.
