2 Chainz dropped a new YouTube series called #CrateTalk and he revealed he was close to being signed with Hov.
The episode features special guest Steve Stoute, and 2 Chainz told him why he declined to work with Jay.
2 Chainz said that Jay Z once offered to fly him out for a meeting. 2 Chainz asked if his DJ could come and Hov was only interested in seeing 2 Chainz. The “It’s A Vibe” rapper couldn’t imagine going to the meeting without his DJ who helped him so he had to pass.
