The one who was chasing people down for money got a taste of his own medicine at some point.

50 Cent is known for coming after you if you owe him money, so it’s interesting when the tables are turned on him.

On Fif’s Instagram, he posted about the time he got shot and allegedly skipped out on a $32,000 bill, which resulted in him getting sued. He claims the doctor was just trying to get money out of him, after seeing his success.

“See how they make me out to be the bad guy no matter what. Boy it’s a good thing i learned not to care what people think of me. I didn’t get on till 03, the doctor came back looking for 32G’s. I said man, get the fuck outta here before you get shot. LOL #starzgettheapp #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”

50 got shot nine times in 2000 while he was living in Queens, NY, sitting in a friend’s car. 50 Cent was shot in the hand, arm, hip, both legs, chest, and left cheek. Alleged shooter Darryl ‘Hommo’ Baum (who was later killed in what police believe to be a retaliation shooting), used a 9mm handgun and Fif was shot in the hand, arm, hip, both legs, chest, and left cheek.

It forever changed his life, altering his voice slightly, giving him that “slur sound” that makes his voice distinctive and unique. His “new voice” was caused by a fragment of a bullet that is lodged to the inside of his mouth. His doctor decided to leave it there because taking it out could potentially cause more damage than help.

50 didn’t get his breakthrough in the industry until 2003 when he dropped Get Rich Or Die Tryin. It sold 12 million records across the world that year and is now 9x certified platinum by the RIAA. It was also nominated for Best Rap Album at the 46th Grammy Awards. Fif also turned it into a movie in 2005.
