We all know that there is never a dull moment with rapper 50 Cent!

He has done a great job at making us laugh, scream, shout and cringe! What we do know with the rapper, is he has not only given us memorable moments with just the music, but he has been just has unpredictable throughout his entire career. 

Let’s take a look at 21 moments that the “21 Questions” rapper made us turn our heads. 

1. Flirting with Vivica Fox at 2003 BET awards.

2. Flirting with Chelsea Handler

The two were spotted out in public back in 2010 but Handler shut down the idea of being in a relationship with 50 Cent. 

3. The Infamous Slow Bucks Incident

 50 still denies he was involved with the incident that may or may not have happened before our eyes. Slow Bucks had a press conference and said 50 was allegedly trying to hurt his brand. Just one of 50 Cent’s classic moments.

4. The End Of The Money Team

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather started off as good friends and business partners until it all ended in 2012. Their beef began shortly after Mayweather was released from prison. The rapper claimed that the undefeated father nicknamed “Money” owed him some doough after the rapper began working with The Money Team! Soon afterward, 50 and Mayweather took their feud to social media where they spent years hurling shots at each other.

5. The Neverending Beef Between Himself & Ja Rule 

50 Cent and JaRule has been beefing since 1999 following an incident in . 50 Cent and Ja Rule’s beef has been one of the longest-running in Hip-Hop history. Kicking off in 1999, the feud has spun all the way to the present day and it’s showing no signs of slowing down.

6. Beef with Fat Joe

Earlier this year, Fat Joe spoke on squashing the beef with 50. Fat Joe said in 2012 at th eBET Awards is when they put their differences to the side after Chris Lighty passed away. Fat Joe said, “So I’m looking at him like peace?!” All the sh*t this guy done said about me, it’s like a fun*in movie going on right here…I shook his hand, and said peace. He said, ‘peace man, Terror Squad G-Unit for Chris Lighty. That was it. I remember when I did that, people started dancing in the audience; people started running. There wasn’t Instagram in that time, but it went viral. When we did the actual performance, people went crazy.” 

Fat Joe said it was important for the younger generation to see them squashing beef. He said, “It doesn’t have to result in us killing each other. The rap beef doesn’t have to turn violent in the streets. I hope everybody sees that and says ‘the shit they were saying to each other, and now they’re friends? It can happen.”

7. The Face-Off w/ Kanye West!  

In 2019, 50 Cent resparked a feud with Kanye West after mocking his Yeezy fashion line. 50 shared a picture of Ye’s clothing brand and wrote, “Welp now I know I’m not a style icon, I’m definitely not wearing that shit. LOL GET THE F*** OUTTA HERE MAN,” wrote Fiddy on Instagram. 

The feud comes after the pair previously used a feud back in 2007 when they released records at the same time to help bring attention to their own albums. On September 11, 2007 50 released Curtis while West pushed the release of Graduation forward by a week to pit the two records against each other.

8. Making $2 Million off of Vitamin Water

50’s famous line in “I Get Money” where he raps about making money off Vitamin water will always be a classic. He raps, “I took quarter water sold it in bottles for 2 bucks, Coca-Cola came and bought it for billions, what the f***?” In 2007 it was rumored 50 Cent walked away with $60-$100 million from the brand. 

9. 50 Cent / Power Success

Earlier this year 50 spoke on the success of Power. Hot New Hip Hop reports he said,

“I had this idea to make a TV show like 9 years ago. 7 years ago it aired and it did pretty good. Shout out to Chris Albrecht. STARZ is official now i’m off and running.  

10. 50 Cent beef with Comcast

In late 2019 – 50 Cent came after Comcast CEO Brian Roberts after Comcast announced they’d stop offering Starz. “This is the guy fu**ing up (Power) over at @Comcast for no reason Brian Roberts, mother fu**er look like he been pushed around his whole life,” 50 wrote on Instagram. 

Outside of the Comcast Building in Philadelphia, advertisements shaming Comcast for cutting access to Starz began to pop up. 

11. Oprah vs. 50 Cent

Step aside Ja Rule, 50 Cent has beef with the Queen of day-time television programming. Fifty sights that Oprah was “against everything (50) was doing,” in a 2020 interview with the Guardian. Rumor has it that Fif went as far as naming his dog “Oprah” after years of not being welcomed on Oprah’s show. 

12. The Fifty Cent Video Game

50 Cent: Bulletproof was released in 2005 – at the height of 50’s success. The game was a mashup of Grand Theft Auto and the life of 50 Cent, to this day Bulletproof retains a 6.5 out of 10 rating on IGN. Bulletproof was ahead of its time. 

13. How to Rob Angers Rappers

On 50 Cent’s debut album he rapped about robbing DMX, Will and Jada Smith, members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Juvenile, Diddy, Blackstreet, Jay-Z, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Kirk Franklin, and a number of other artists. How to Rob angered MC’s that took this song as a diss. The tactic of name-dropping dozens of artists has been used by The Game, Nicki Minaj, and Kendrick Lamar in the time since. Some could say that How To Rob was the original Control verse. 

14. Street Artist Trolls 50 Cent

“How the hell is he doing it so fast? Alright, he’s talented but why the f**k he pick me?” wrote 50 Cent about a street artist by the name of Lushsux who draws Curtis Jackson as other famous people. Lushsux has painted 50 as Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, and even Guy Fieri. 

15. Canada tries to keep 50 out

In 2005,  a Toronto-area member of Parliament called on his government to block 50 Cent from entering Canada. Liberal MP Dan McTeague asked Immigration Minister Joe Volpe to ban Curtis Jackson from entering the country for a tour he had planned. 

The Canadian representative sighted a worry that “gangsta rap” would worsen gun violence in the Toronto area. The concert took place under “special police supervision,” without any issues or incidents.

 16. The Magic Stick Beef: 50 Cent VS Lil Kim. 

Kim says “i see u still in ur feels about that dinner date u asked me on that I had to turn down. Let it go u have a beautiful girlfriend, I have a loving husband. Let it go.” After 50 Joked on her BET outfit.

17. 50 Cent Relentlessly Goes After Teairra Mari

In 2019, after 50 Cent reposted a leaked image of a nude Teairra Mari, she tried to sue him for posting the image. She ended up losing the case, and 50 Cent countersued and won. A judge ordered the “Make Her Feel Good” singer to pay $34,000 to cover 50’s legal fees. Since then, he’s been trying to get his money, even willing to take her reality TV money!

18. 50 Cent is supportive of Pop Smoke Despite Comparisons

Upon the untimely death of Pop Smoke, 50 Cent was far from his usual troll self. He told NME “You’re going to see that we really just lost something big. He said to me he wanted to take his mother to an award show. I would like to be able to do that.”

On top of that 50 Cent cleared his “Many Men” sample for Pop Smoke’s posthumous album and eventually celebrated Pop Smoke’s Billboard Award victory. The night of the Billboard awards, 50 cent posted a picture of Pop Smoke’s mother with the caption “Pop said he wanted to take his mom to a award show. Mission accomplished !”

19. 50 Cent / For Life on ABC Success 

50 Cent went on an all-out social media blitz to promote his ABC show For Life. Knowing his words, and trolling ways is his best marketing tool and continuously used memes & commentary to promote the tv show.

20. The BIG Vitamin Water Deal

The rapper turned mogul made a deal with Glacéau Vitamin Water in 2004, that would end up becoming one of the biggest in the history of the business!  After the company made a deal with the Coca-Cola company in 2007 for $4.1 billion, 50 Cent suddenly became one of the wealthiest artists in the world.

21. The Success Of Get Rich Or Die Tryin’

In 2005, in the midst of great success in his solo career, the rapper turned actor for the release of Get Rich Or Die Tryin. The film based on his life and career to that point ended up making $46.4 million in the box office, with over $12 million coming first week, and helped bring a successful soundtrack with more hit tracks from 50 based on the film.
