This story is an unfortunate situation.

According to reports, an Indianapolis man killed four people over money. Malik Halfacre believed he was entitled to his girlfriend’s stimulus check. Jeanettrius Moore and Halfacre also share a son together.

On March 13, Moore offered Halfacre $450 and told him, “take it or leave it,” but that wasn’t good enough for him. Moore told him she works hard for her money, and he doesn’t do anything. The next day, Halfacre pulled up to his girlfriend’s house and began looking for the money. Moore’s brother Daquan Moore tried to step in, but that’s when Halfacre started going on a killing rampage.

The victims include Moore’s 7-year-old daughter, Eve, her 23-year-old brother, Daquan, her 44-year-old mother, Tomeeka Brown, and her 35-year-old cousin, Anthony Johnson. Moore’s cousin, Wendy Johnson, told WXIN,

“He shot Daquan first. He shot Anthony. He turned around, and he shot my auntie Tomeeka. My aunt Tomeeka said, ‘Malik!’ and he shot her again.”

Halfacre shot his girlfriend, but she survived. Moore managed to escape and tell a neighbor. Then, Halfacre left the scene and took his 6-month-old daughter, which triggered an Amber Alert for Indianapolis. The baby was later found unharmed at Halfacre’s sister’s house. Halfacre was found by police hiding in a friend’s attic.

The boyfriend admitted his crimes to the police. He’s charged with murder, attempted murder, and robbery and is due back in court on March 18.
