Lil Mama may have to deal with hearing about how she crashed Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performance for the rest of her life.

Alicia Keys is spilling tea about what happened in 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards. Hov and Alicia performed their classic banger, “Empire State of Mind” and Lil Mama crashed the performance. Alicia  appeared on Drink Champs and spoke about it.

According to Keys, at the time, she didn’t even realize Lil Mama was on stage. She was focused on playing the piano and singing. Alicia said,

“I didn’t even bear witness to. The whole show, I was… so focused on making it amazing. I went backstage and Jay was like, ‘So, you ain’t see that?’ He was like, ‘Nah, you ain’t just see what just happened?’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, we killed it. That’s what just happened.'”
