Anthony Ramos On Ebro in the Morning

Actor and artist Anthony Ramos sat down with Ebro in the Morning to discuss his time at Hamilton, some of his recent roles, as well as what his future looks like on the hip hop scene.

As one of the originals on the popular Broadway show Hamilton, Ramos as seen lots of special guests come through the show to see the performance. Some of his favorite include Barack and Michelle Obama, Jim Carey, Busta Rhymes and Lawrence Fishbourne.

He was also performing with Vice President Mike Pence went to view the show to the course of boos. He said he hoped he got something from the show. Ramos also believes President Donald Trump should watch Hamilton in hopes that it would help “get something from the show.”

The actor described how much he loved performing on the show, but felt like he wanted to share his own vice with the world, and that was the time he realized it was time to leave the production.

One guest, Spike Lee helped him transition to a new step in his career after seeing him perform on Hamilton. He had gotten his number and that led to a role on the popular Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It as the role of Mars Blackmon.

He now stars in two movies in theaters now Monsters and Men and A Star Is Born

Ramos will be showing off his talents on the microphone as well as he is preparing to release an album as an MC in the near future.
