Ashanti turned 41 on October 13. A few weeks ago, it was announced she owns her masters. Ashanti is also re-recording her 2002 self-titled debut album. It sold over three million copies and features classics like “Baby,” “Foolish,” and “Happy.” Yahoo points out that the singer will receive the Lady Of Soul award at this year’s Soul Train awards.
