Lil Pump has learned that Awkwafina is not one to mess with. The actress, who is of Chinese and Korean descent, responded to Pump after he made some racial epithets towards Asian people. She took to Twitter to voice her concerns. “Always nice to hear a new song with a Ching Chong adlib,” she wrote. “Guess it’s better than ‘eyes chink’ like some other verses I’ve heard. But can we at least think of some more creative racist epithets? @lilpump.” The tweet has since then been deleted.
Pump recorded himself and later received major backlash for making his eyes slanted like an Asian person and for using the offensive lines like “Ching Chong” as well as making references to other cultural stereotypes in his single “Butterfly Doors”.
