Vaping has become popular in the United States, but this method of smoking has serious health risks.
Reported on a site, a 17-year-old teen from the Bronx, NY has died from a “vaping related sickness.” He is the first from New York to die from vaping, but approximately 20 others across the nation have also had fatal experiences. More than 1,000 others have gotten sick from e-cigarette related sicknesses.
Governor Cuomo said in a conference that vaping is targeted to young people and had become a public health crisis.
People impacted by e-cigarettes age range from 14-69.
The NYC teen who passed away experienced respiratory problems and was admitted to the hospital in Sept. and died on Oct. 4th.
