Following the release of his latest album, Detroit 2, Big Sean jumped on Twitter to do some Q&A with his fans.

During the Q&A, a fan asked did he want any artist on the new project, but couldn’t get them? Sean reveals J. Cole was supposed to be on the album but unfortunately, they never got the chance to finish the collab. “Me n J. Cole was working on something but it didn’t get finished. That’s my bro tho for sure,” he said.

“I want people to feel the roots of Detroit — the undeniable soul, that unbreakable spirit,” Big Sean says of the new album. “Detroit gets slept on sometimes, but I don’t think there’s any greater or more impactful city, especially musically throughout the decades. I couldn’t let that die. I had to do my version of the impact all that music had.”
