Things can get a bit messy once again between Birdman and Lil’ Wayne.

According to The Blast, Birdman is accusing Lil’ Wayne, his manager Cortez Bryant, and lawyer Roger Sweeney for trying to cut Cash Money Records out of receiving much of Drake’s profits. He is countersuing Cortez Bryant’s Aspire Music Group.

The lawsuit reads as follows:

“Aspire was simply a shell company. There was no business purpose to forming Aspire, other than to siphon profits out of the joint venture and to divert those profits to Sweeney, Bryant, and Carter/ Young Money. Aspire never conducted any business other than getting Drake signed to a record label. Aspire has never signed, nor sought to sign, a single additional artist.”

Aspire Music Group sued Cash Money Records and Universal Music in 2017, accusing them of not paying royalties owed from Drake’s catalog.

Cash Money is reportedly asking for the case to be dismissed and to be paid unspecified damages for fraud, aiding and abetting a breach of fiduciary duty, and interference with contractual relations.
