The legendary Marcel Theo Hall, aka Biz Markie, was laid to rest yesterday (August 1) in Long Island, New York.
His life was celebrated with family, friends, including other hip hop legends outside the Patchogue Theatre. Biz was born in Harlem, NY, but was raised in Patchogue.
Biz’s good friends like Fat Joe, Ice T, LL Cool J, Bug Caz from the Cold Crush Brothers, WBLS’ Chuck Chill Out, Dapper Dan, George Floyd’s brother, Terrence Floyd, and more paid their respects. Biz’s wife and close friends shared unforgettable memories of Biz, and it shows he was indeed one of a kind. His legacy will live on forever!
Rev. Al Sharpton delivered a beautiful eulogy filled with funny stories and tears of joy/sadness. Rev. Al Sharpton said it best during the service; Biz was “more than ‘Just A Friend.’”
